Assessment of Political Integrity Rules in Türkiye

This report by Transparency International Türkiye evaluates the regulatory framework governing political integrity in Türkiye, focusing on three key areas: asset and interest declarations, political financing, and public procurement.

While Türkiye has laws in place to prevent conflicts of interest—such as asset declaration requirements and public procurement standards—the report finds major gaps in transparency and enforcement. Key weaknesses include the lack of public access to asset declarations, limited open data on public tenders, and the absence of real-time transparency in political financing.

The report provides actionable recommendations for the Turkish Parliament and other institutions, including the establishment of an independent oversight body, greater transparency in asset disclosures, and mandatory public reporting of political donations in open data formats.
