Environmental Law Cases and Media Workshop is prepared in partnership of the media department’s Transparency in Media Project funded by British Embassy and the public research department’s Turkey Map of Environmental Violations Project funded by European Union.
Within the scope of Turkey Map of Environmental Violations Project environmental violations law cases from high courts are examined in terms of violation areas, actors, relevant legislation and institutions; and in this context a network map has been created as you could see above. We hope that this study would support other studies that contribute and enhance legal struggle which is one of the most important parts of the environmental advocacy.
Therefore, we invite media professionals and journalists who are one of the greatest partners of environmental advocacy to our Environmental Law Cases and Media Workshop’s first session to discuss the environmental advocacy, law and media triangle; and to second session’s panel to contribute to the conclusion of the Turkey Map of Environmental Violations.
