Transparency International Turkey (TI Turkey) seeks to employ an Expert within the scope its Project ‘Effective Anti-Corruption Programmes′.
The purpose of the project is to promote awareness and understanding on ‘anti-corruption compliance’ programmes among the business community and strengthen self-monitoring systems of Turkish enterprises.
The project will be proceed with preparation of tools and guides for companies aiming to become more transparent and credible; and will organize meetings to bring together various stakeholders and promote experience sharing.
The expert are expected to provide expertise on issues related to corruption risks and standards on integrity in the private sector, such as corporate measures on anti-corruption, code of ethics and concurrently, perform as the experts of the Private Sector Programme of TI-Turkey.
The primary tasks of the Expert are:
- Conducting research and presenting recommendations on standards on transparency and integrity in the business community;
- Communicating effectively with the network of companies and provide recommendations as needed;
- Review and compilation of anti-corruption legislation with extraterritorial application as well as international standards and best business practices and preparing drafts;
- Providing drafts within the agreed timetable and based on the standards laid out in the research framework;
- Following out national and international legislation, academic literature, publications/studies/releases of competent authorities and Transparency International on issues of transparency and fight against corruption;
- Collaborating with the project stakeholders -companies and relevant public institutions- in the research process and organizing meetings and workshops;
- Drafting and delivering the guidance/training kit as well as outputs to be presented to national and international stakeholders;
- Providing advice and trainings to companies when needed;
- Contribute to promotional events surrounding the launch, preparation, announcement and dissemination of the findings and outputs.
The Expert should have the following qualifications:
- Graduate degree in business administration, management, economics, law, political science, public administration, or another related social science;
- Familiarity with transparency, accountability and anti-corruption discourse;
- At least five years experience in fraud risk prevention, compliance, anti-corruption, anti-bribery measures;
- Proven expertise in political-institutional analysis, with particularly strong knowledge of the country′s governance system;
- Experience in working with/applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; interview techniques, statistical data interpretation;
- Well-developed problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills
- Well-developed project management skills
- Very good knowledge in English including the skills in write succinctly and both for an academic and non-academic audience;
- Excellent skills in using Office Programmes.
- Willingness to contribute to the development of Private Sector Programme.
